We are acting on behalf of a successful Engineering company offering a stable and interesting career in our Fabrication Department. They require an experienced Welder/Fabricator to support the manufacture of products to customer drawings and specifications.
The Mig Welder & Fabricator role is a temp to perm position in Pershore, and we are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven experience in MIG.Welding
- Experienced in all forms of welding/metal dressing/fettling
- Fabricate and weld components using your own initiative• Have a good understanding of engineering drawings and fabricate/weld and finish parts correctly to the associated drawing/s
• Ensure all quality control and customer-specific documentation has been completed
- To carry out all production operations in accordance with the company Health & Safety policy, ensuring your personal safety and that of others working in your area
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, periodically, working to tight deadlines. Demonstrating a proactive and positive ‘can do’ attitude with the correct commitment to get the 'job done'
• Any other reasonable request you are instructed to do that you have received adequate instruction and training
Desirable Qualifications/Experience but not essential:
• Apprentice trained in Fabrication/Welding
• City & Guilds certification
• Experience of reading & understanding fabrication drawings

Prodrive Recruitment Ltd are seeking a skilled Power Press Setter to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating press machinery. To be successful in the role of Power Press Setter you may be working /or/ have worked as a Tool Setter, Machine Setter or Setter/Operator on Power presses. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor press machinery to produce sheet metal components.
- Set up tooling and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
- Perform basic maths calculations for measurements and material requirements.
- Fabricate parts using hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Grind and finish products to meet specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- ROSPA or Power Press Certification.
- Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experienced/fully conversant in Setting tooling into Power presses including HME’s, Arboga’s, Bliss’s, Aida’s and Rhodes ranging from 10T through to 500T capacity.
- Set up and operate coil, strip and blank feed mechanical presses;
- Set tooling and coil feeders – completing as per engineering drawings.
- Able to load and amend machine settings and make tool changes as required to our busy schedules.
- Complete “1st off” and “last off” sampling to ISO 9001:2015 Quality management system requirements ensuring that drawing specifications have been met in full.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence desirable but not essential as in-house training can be provided.
- Familiarity with tooling, sheet metal processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
This role is offered on a Temp to Perm basis and the hours are worked over a four day week Monday to Thursday. Providing employees with a three day break on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Working in the Production Department, you would be weighing, measuring and mixing raw materials as per instruction sheets. Packaging products ready for worldwide despatch to clients.
